(The Fine Print)

  1. Advertisements are accepted for Alternate Sources upon the understanding that the advertiser and its agency have the right to authorize the publication of the contents of the advertisement.

  2. The advertiser and its agency agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Publisher harmless against any expense, claim, or loss arising from publication.

  3. Rates are subject to change without notice.

  4. Publisher reserves the right not to accept any advertisement, insertion, space reservation, or positioning request.

  5. Positioning of ads is at the discretion of the Publisher, except requests agreed to in writing by the Publisher.

  6. Publisher shall have no liability for errors in key numbers.

  7. Cancellations or changes shall not be made after the copy closing date. Cancellation or changes will only be honoured if received by an authorized representative of Alternate Sources and accepted prior to closing.

  8. Insertion orders will be accepted subject to space and printing availability.

  9. Orders from agencies are accepted upon the understanding that the advertiser shall be jointly and severally responsible for payment of charges in the event that the agency, or other involved third party, does not make payment to Publisher for whatever reason, including insolvency, for advertising that the advertiser or its agency or other involved third party ordered and that was published.

  10. Advertiser and/or its agency agree not to make any reference in its advertisement to Alternate Sources, its trademarks, or its properties without the prior permission in writing from the Publisher.

  11. The word advertisement will be placed within any advertising that, in the Publisher's opinion, so warrants.

  12. Model and/or artist releases shall accompany all photos of models and/or artwork used in ads. The release shall include a legible copy of legal identification documents proving that the model is of legal age. If said model uses a professional name, that name shall appear on the release, so that there is no possibility of misidentification. Misappropriated artwork will not be allowed for use in ads. There will be no exceptions to these requirements.

  13. All prices are net of Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.) and/or Provincial Sales Tax (P.S.T.), as applicable, which shall remain the sole responsibility of the advertiser.
  14. As used in this rate card, the term Publisher shall refer to WholeSM Publishing Corporation, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, or its duly authorized agent(s).

  15. All claims by advertisers, their agents, or other third parties shall be brought within twelve months of the date of publication, or such claims are waived.

  16. These conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between the advertiser and Publisher, unless changes are specifically agreed to in writing by the Publisher. Publisher shall not be bound by any condition appearing on order blanks, or any other copy instructions that conflict with this rate card, except as provided herein.
